Here is a clip that FlavorClips made from the video Continuum: The Special Theory of Relativity by John Howe. FlavorClips chose this segment of the video as a highlight to create a clip.
Making Clips – AI Video Clipping
1. Open Clips
Select Clips from the bottom tab. It is outlined in yellow in this image.
2. Caption Options
Press Caption to open caption options. You can set the color, location, font and display options. Display options include word highlighting, segment only, and word only.
Set caption options before uploading to ensure they are included in the final clips. Alternatively, choose no captions by deselecting Caption.
2. Upload Video
Press Upload to select a video to make clips from. For best results, the video should contain speech.
The video clips will be selected by notable highlights derived from a transcription of spoken words.
2. Processing
After selecting a video, FlavorClips will transcribe the audio. This process takes 3 to 4 minutes for videos 20 to 30 minutes in length. Less time for shorter videos.
You can choose to receive a notification when the transcription process has completed.
During this process, FlavorClips identifies notable content with AI that would work well as a short video.
2. View and Download
After processing is complete, FlavorClips will build and display the Clips. At the moment, FlavorClips cannot build the final clips when the app closed. So during the final build, the app must remain open.
You can view, download or make more. Make more uses the transcription from the original upload, so it should take much less time.
